Aegis Regulatory Alert- October 2021

Aegis extends this Regulatory Alert:

• Recent Federal Register Updates:
  TRI- EPA has proposed to codify the definition of “parent company” for TRI reporting. Comments on the proposed rule, located in FR No. 86, p.53577, are due by November 29, 2021. 
• Phasedown of Hydrofluorocarbons for Producers and Importers- Effective November 4, 2021, EPA will implement phasedown of highly potent GHG hydrofluorocarbons by issuing fixed quantity transferable production & consumption allowances. Producers & importers must hold a quantity of hydrofluorocarbons to amount produced or imported. EPA will establish an allowance program with production and consumption baselines and decreases/phasedown schedule, provide initial and transfer allowances, and establish recordkeeping and reporting over time period 2022 – 2050.
